What is a MuttMop?

A MuttMop is a colorful, fun, new dog toy that is amazingly durable and engaging. It is a tug toy, chew toy, fetch toy, and nap-time toy all in one. MuttMops are made of a durable, fleece fringe around a solid rubber core. The MuttMop’s unique design makes it the ideal toy for both large and small dogs. Its tensile strength makes it perfect for a rough game of tug-of-war. Its aerodynamic shape makes it throwable, like a Frisbee, for a fun game of fetch. What are MuttMops made of?

MuttMops are made of a fleece (100% polyester) fringe around a solid rubber core. The color and pattern of the fleece used varies.

MuttMops are available online and in select stores throughout New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, and California. Stores include numerous pet boutiques and resorts, pet/vet supply stores, groomers, and several Three Dog Bakeries and Wild Birds Unlimited. Email us for locations nearest you, or simply order your MuttMop online and have it shipped directly to your door.

What size MuttMop should I buy for my dog?

For small dogs (around 20 pounds or less) such as Pugs, Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, etc, we recommend a Small MuttMop. For medium dogs (around 50lbs) such as Collies, Bulldogs, Chow Chows, etc, we recommend a Medium MuttMop. For large dogs (around 90 pounds or more) such as Rottweilers, Shepherds, Retrievers, etc, we recommend you purchase a Large MuttMop. If you have multiple dogs, you might consider buying a larger size so that more than one dog can play with it at a time. Small MuttMops are 9 inches in diameter, Medium MuttMops are 12 inches, and Large MuttMops are 15 inches.

In what colors are MuttMops available?

MuttMops come in numerous colors and patterns. Common colors include reds, blues, pinks, polka dots, flowers, and stripes. Fabric pattern availability changes frequently though so be sure to check the website often. If you have a specific color request, email us details and we’ll do our best to create something special just for you. Choose a MuttMop to match your décor, your dog’s personality, or your dog’s bed or other toys.

Do MuttMops float?

MuttMops will float while dry, but as they soak up water they will gradually sink. A small, dry MuttMop will float for about a minute, while a large, dry MuttMop can float for up to ten minutes. A wet MuttMop will sink slowly and will not float back up to the top. They sink pretty slowly though so your dogs should be able to play with one in the pool. Plus, once you're done, you can throw your MuttMop in the dryer on low.

How do I clean my MuttMop?

MuttMops are easy to clean. They are machine washable and dryer safe. Simply set your washing machine to the gentle cycle and set your dryer to low. MuttMops can be washed as often as necessary.

Are MuttMops safe toys?

MuttMops are very durable toys that are difficult to break. Additionally, they consist of only two materials (100% polyester fleece and rubber). There are NO batteries, wires, squeakers, fillers, or other toxic, dangerous parts. However, as with all dog toys, be sure to supervise dog during use.
